As many of you know, sleep has not been as easy thing to come by with Logan. When he turned 9 months old he finally started to settle down and sleep a little bit better. Now I can actually enjoy going in and looking at all the funny positions he gets into while he's sleeping. I don't know how they breathe like that!
Spring crop of carrots! I never finished taking all of the veggies out of the garden last summer but since we had such a warm winter it looks like the carrots survived.
We've been trying all sorts of new foods with Logan. However, he has never done well with any grains. Rice cereal, oatmeal, bread and even cheerios. He just spits them all back out! Here was a second chance with the cheerios and he just played with them and threw them on the floor.
But he definitely likes most anything else I feed him. He is now getting more excited about feeding himself so I have to find things that he can hold on to and get into his mouth.
Bananas...
Oranges... he loves them but spits out the pulp after he's worked out all the juice!
Tomatoes are a big hit too!
And this is usually how it looks in the end.

Picture updates
I finally got around to downloading all the pictures from each of our cameras and realized I had several from as far back as February that I hadn't done anything with so here goes...
Logan has finally started to move around a little more on his own. I just like this picture because of all the drool :)
When he became more mobile we had to take apart his play gym since it was getting in the way of all his rolling around.
We've also been experimenting with a few new hair-do's. I haven't cut his hair yet but it's starting to get pretty long in the back.
Then we took our first family trip in the new van. It's not ready yet for camping but we just all squeezed into the front seat together. We have a lot more pics of the van project but we'll post them together later.
This particular ride was to meet up with friends for Matt's birthday.
I am determined to get Logan out for some swimming this summer so when I found all the swim gear on sale already I couldn't resist. He's not a fan of the sunglasses but you never know!
My parents also came for a visit this month so we took my dad out for some mountain biking.
The weather has been great so I've been trying to get some garden work done and let Logan play outside. He is now very curious about the grass and wants to play with it but also eat it. He usually starts out on this blanket and by the end he is in covered in dirt and grass but still smiling.
Not sure how they can bend like that and it never seems to hurt...

Family Photos
Logan turned 9 months on March 18th. At his doctor appointment he weighed in at 19lbs, 7oz. No wonder I can hardly get the car seat into the truck anymore!
We had family pictures taken on March 21st. I thought I would post them on here in case anyone wants to print some of them at home. Click Here

Two Weekend Hikes
7 Kids
6 Adults
5 Strollers
4 Vehicles
3 Miles
2 Hours
1 Dog
= A fun family hike day!
Last friday a friend I used to work with invited us to go hiking with them. We were like a giant stroller army on the trail but it was a great time!
It was hard to get everyone together for a photo because of all the chaos but here's a shot of Aaron and Ben who work in the shop I used to be in. This was a great time to check out everyone's differnt strollers and see what we would be in for if we have more kids.
Logan even decided to take a little nap along the way.
The next day my friend Wayne invited us up for a hike and then a St. Patrick's day lunch afterward. We decided to hike from his house and up South Table in Golden.
I really didn't think I could make it while carrying Logan in the pack but it turned out great! He had fun and waved to all the people that went by. I got what every mom needs, great exercise and lots of sunshine!
And a shot of Wayne with his new dog, Charlie. Fun times and I'm looking forward to a great summer.

A Play Date with Lily
We recently had a visit from our friends Christie and Lily. Logan was pretty excited so he got a bath and his hair fixed up the night before.
The evening included a nice dinner, of course, supervised by their mothers! Logan was very generous to offer his highchair to Lily.
He was trying extra hard to be a ham and see if he could get Lily to laugh.
At least he got a little smile...
Then he tried to impress her with the classic line "Excuse me miss, can you tell me how to get to the gun show?"
Now she's laughing!
Then at the end of the evening they got to hang out and play with their toys.
Unfortunately, Logan couldn't quite keep up with Lily as she was headed for the stairs!
I'm sure there will be more play dates in the future as their moms like to hang out and ride bikes together. Better luck next time!
Nebraska Trip
Last month Logan and I headed up to Nebraska to visit my grandparents for a few days. My grandma had recently had surgery on her foot so she wasn't able to walk much so it was a lot of fun for her and Logan to hang out and play.
He was really excited to get his picture taken with Grandma Debbie!
And Great-Grandma Hansen!
He also had some fun hang-out time with Great-Grandpa Hansen.
And, of course I had to get a picture of bath time in the kitchen sink.

Hello Sprinter Van
No, Matt did not start another new business... it just happens to be the very large logo wrap that came on our sprinter van that we recently purchased. Luckily, the wrap can be removed and underneath should be nice white paint.
What do we need this big vehicle for? The plan is that it will become our camping/traveling wagon. We tried to decide what to do about camping trips so that everyone would be comfy and get decent sleep in spite of cold or hot weather. We decided the sprinter van was the best option so we could use it for camping and Matt could use it for work if needed. Right now it's just big and empty but Matt has grand plans for insulation, beds, cupboards, wiring, heating, cooling and more seats. We hope to have it completed before our Moab trip in May and then we'll really see how much we like it when we drive it to Michigan this summer for vacation.
