Crested Butte

I'm a little behind on posting up pics. I have been traveling almost every weekend and some weekdays too. On top of that, my camera zoom stopped working, then I lost my camera, now it is found and on its way back to me. I hope to ship it off to get fixed soon.

Drove out to Crested Butte a few weeks ago for 3 days of biking.

Taylor Park off in the distance from Cottonwood Pass.
The victims, Wayne, Christie Jo, Pam, me.
Lake on top of Kebler Pass. I took this pic while driving, causing some of my passengers to get all wide eyed and squirmy in their seats.
Christie, leading the charge on Trail 401.

Accidental picture while riding with my camera in my hand.
Wayne, Christie, Pam waayy off in the distance.

Late night Brats n Beans.

Breakfast time in the camp kitchen.
Christie, relaxing before the climb up Deer Creek.

Christie, relaxing at the top of Deer Creek.
Aspen trees everywhere.
Tight and twisty.

Cows! I think it is pretty fun to see cows on the trial, but not so sweet to ride thru their mess. I still have some of it on my shoes a month later. I suppose I could wash it off, but I figure it will come off by itself on the next ride, or the next ride, or...
They told us that after a real good lightning storm, you can come up here and find a lot of dead cows and see bears dragging them off into the trees for dinner. That would be pretty neat to see.

Huge milk shakes after a good ride. Nothing like it.
The twistiest river I have ever seen.
Wayne, leading the shuttle.
Dropping down the Dyke trail.
Wayne's peg leg.
The marker leading back to the truck at the bottom, parked at the "Jorse Ranch." Guess, the author was Mexican.
